| | Following consideration of a report “Community Engagement& Consultation: Progress Report” submitted to the Overview& Scrutiny Committee in February 2012 this report providesan update on the work of the communications departmentover the past year.The scope of this report has been expanded from communityengagement and consultation which was the focus of theprevious report to cover the broader work of thecommunications department incorporating major projectshighlighting key achievements and setting out priorities for thecoming year. |

| 5. | The report seeks to give Members and the Borough’sresidents an overview of how the council is performing. Itseeks to do this in a transparent and easily-accessiblemanner giving a key performance ‘snapshot’. This report wasreceived by the Cabinet on 14th February. Unfortunately dueto scheduling this meeting of the Overview and ScrutinyCommittee is the first which the report was able to come to.In order to keep Members properly informed of the currentstate of performance Officers have gathered updatedperformance information where available. Updatedinformation is presented (in italics) alongside the originalinformation with bold to indicate amended pieces of data. |
